Trees in a Designed Town
Celebration was planned on paper before the first house went up. Disney's Celebration Company led development on about 4,900 acres, the first residential phase began in the summer of 1996, and an architectural pattern book by Urban Design Associates of Pittsburgh guides new construction. Tree Service in Celebration has to fit that setting: streets lined with trees planted as part of the design, small front yards close to the sidewalk, and owners who care how everything looks when the work is done.
Check the community rules first
Celebration is organized under state law as a community development district, and planned communities like it usually pair that with deed restrictions and association rules. Before you remove a tree, or even a large shrub, find out whether your association needs to approve it and whether a replacement is expected. We can provide a written description of the tree's condition and the proposed work for that request.
Trees that are now 25-plus years old
The trees planted with the first neighborhoods in the late 1990s are now well into maturity. That is when planting decisions catch up with a property: oaks set close to sidewalks start lifting concrete, crowns spread over roofs and garages, and trees planted in narrow strips run out of root space. Thoughtful pruning can buy years; sometimes removal and a better-suited replacement is the honest answer.
Trails and greenbelts
More than 23 miles of nature trails connect Celebration's neighborhoods. Homes that back onto trails and wooded areas deal with limbs reaching over fences and roofs from trees that may not belong to the homeowner. We confirm ownership before we cut, and if the tree is on common or district property, the owner of that land needs to be involved.
Who lives here
Celebration had 11,178 residents at the 2020 census, up from 2,736 in 2000. Census QuickFacts shows a median owner-occupied home value of $635,000 and a 58.3% owner-occupied rate, and at the 2020 census 24.5% of its 6,113 housing units were vacant, which in a resort area often means second homes and seasonal rentals. For owners who are not on site, we can send photos and the written estimate by email and coordinate access.
Small yards, careful equipment
Lots in a traditional neighborhood design are compact, with homes close to the street and garages often on rear alleys. Most work here is done by climbing and lowering limbs by rope, with the chipper set on the street or alley. We protect sod, pavers and irrigation as we go and clean up the alley as well as the yard.
Typical work
- Clearance pruning over roofs, garages and alleys
- Raising canopies over sidewalks and streets
- Removal of declining or poorly placed trees, with stump grinding
- Palm trimming in courtyards and pool areas
- Cleanup that leaves lawns, alleys and porches tidy

Celebration Questions
Do I need approval to remove a tree in Celebration?
Check with your association before any removal. Celebration's neighborhoods have design rules, and many homeowner associations require approval for changes to trees and landscaping. We can give you a written assessment to include.
The street tree in front of my house is lifting the sidewalk. Is that mine to fix?
It depends on who owns the strip it stands in. Many planned communities assign street trees to the district or association. Ask them first; if the tree is yours, we can advise on pruning or removal.
I own a Celebration rental and live out of state. Can you handle it?
Yes. We can meet a tenant or property manager on site, send photos and a written estimate, and schedule the work to suit the tenant.
Can you trim palms in a Celebration courtyard?
Yes. We remove dead fronds and seed stalks and leave the healthy green fronds, so the palm looks neat without being over-trimmed. Climbing spikes are not used on palms because the wounds do not heal.
